Acceptable use policy
Effective date: 26 October 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) explains what you may not do with OneWa. It applies to everyone who uses the Service, including account owners, team members and anyone who configures a link, widget, website or form. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. Betting, gambling and online money games are prohibited
You may not use the Service to promote, advertise, sell, operate, route traffic to, generate leads for, take deposits or payments for, or in any way support the following, whether you run the platform yourself or act as an agent, affiliate, reseller, “ID provider”, tipster or lead-generator:
- Sports and event betting of any kind, including cricket and IPL betting, match-fixing or “fixed match” tips, betting or exchange “IDs”, odds and bookmaker services.
- Casino and live-casino games, slots, “crash” and similar games, and crypto casinos.
- Satta, matka and number or colour prediction games.
- Lotteries, raffles and prize draws that require payment, unless run lawfully and with all approvals.
- Poker, rummy, teen patti, ludo, fantasy sports, quiz or skill games and any other online game where a player pays money or another stake (including credits, coins or tokens that can be turned into money) in the expectation of winning money or other enrichment, whether the game depends on skill, chance or both.
- Binary options and similar speculative “prediction” products marketed as games or bets.
- Deposit, withdrawal, top-up, wallet, “agent” or account-handling services for any of the above, and groups, channels or apps that promote them.
Free-to-play social games, e-sports and games in which nobody pays money or another stake in expectation of winnings are not affected by this section.
Indian law, including the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, prohibits offering, advertising and facilitating online money games and related financial transactions, and carries criminal penalties. We will not allow our service to be used for this, whether the operator is in India or abroad, and even if the activity is lawful in another country.
2. We look at where people end up (the Destination rule)
The test is where the person lands and what happens next. A link, widget, form or script is prohibited if it leads, immediately or after one or more steps (for example a WhatsApp chat, a group invite, a Telegram channel, a UPI or payment link or a website), to a prohibited business. This is true even if:
- your website, slug, button text and prefilled message look innocent, neutral or coded (for example “Hi”, “Demo”, “Info” or “ID”);
- the prohibited activity is carried out by someone else using a number you connected;
- the same number is shared with another business.
You are responsible for the activity on every number, link and website you connect to OneWa.
3. Evasion is a violation in itself
- Using primary and backup numbers, number rotation, bridge pages or redirect chains to hide a Destination, to avoid WhatsApp restrictions or to avoid our review.
- Cloaking: showing reviewers, crawlers or us something different from what Visitors see.
- Misleading slugs, domains, widget text or descriptions, and coded wording.
- Creating new accounts, slugs, websites or numbers after a suspension, ban or removal.
4. Other prohibited content and activities
- Fraud and deception: phishing, scams, fake jobs, fake loans or loan apps with abusive terms, “double your money”, guaranteed-return or Ponzi/pyramid schemes, unregulated investment or deposit schemes, fake prize or lottery claims, money-laundering, hawala, mule accounts or account renting.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another person, brand, bank, government body, WhatsApp or OneWa.
- Adult and exploitative content: sexual services, escort services, non-consensual content, and anything involving the exploitation of children (which we report to the authorities without exception).
- Illegal goods and services: narcotics, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen data, forged documents, unlicensed medicines, hacking tools, wildlife products and anything else unlawful to sell or promote.
- Harm and hate: harassment, threats, hate speech, incitement to violence or terrorism, defamation, and content that invades privacy.
- Malicious technology: malware, spyware, stalkerware, or anything that interferes with the Service or other people’s devices.
- Unregulated financial or health claims: unlicensed trading signals or forex, crypto “pump” groups, and false medical or miracle-cure claims.
- Spam and misuse of messaging: anything prohibited in our Anti-Spam and Messaging Policy.
- Anything unlawful: any activity that violates a law that applies to you, us or your Visitors.
5. Misuse of the Service
- Collecting passwords, OTPs, card or UPI details, PINs or government ID numbers through forms.
- Tracking people on websites you do not control, or without the notice the law requires.
- Creating fake clicks or traffic, or using bots to inflate or manipulate analytics.
- Scraping, probing, bypassing plan limits, rate limits or security, or accessing another customer’s data.
- Reselling or sharing access, or using the Service to build a competing product.
- Uploading or injecting malicious code, or tampering with our tracking script.
6. What you confirm when you use OneWa
- You do not operate, promote or work for any prohibited business, and will not do so while using OneWa.
- You have no reason to believe any number, website or link you connect is used for a prohibited purpose.
- You will tell us promptly if your business changes in a way that affects this.
- You will make sure every team member follows this AUP.
7. How we enforce this policy
We may review publicly accessible information and account metadata, including link slugs, destinations, domains, prefilled messages, widget text, click patterns and reports from others, and may use automated checks and information from WhatsApp or Meta, payment providers and authorities. We cannot see the content of your WhatsApp conversations and do not read them.
Depending on the situation, and with or without notice, we may: warn you; disable links, widgets, scripts or forms; remove content or slugs; suspend or permanently ban the account; block related accounts, emails, domains and numbers; withhold refunds and credits; preserve records; and report the matter to law enforcement, regulators (including bodies responsible for online gaming), WhatsApp or Meta and payment providers, sharing information where the law requires or permits.
If you think we made a mistake, write to contact@onewa.link within 7 days with your explanation. We will review it, but reinstatement is at our sole discretion. Nothing in this AUP limits our other rights under the Terms.
8. Reporting a violation
If you see a OneWa link, widget or website being used for betting, gambling or any other prohibited purpose, please tell us through the Report Abuse and Grievance Redressal page. Include the link and what you saw.
9. Changes
We may update this AUP to address new kinds of abuse or changes in law. Updates take effect when posted, and the effective date above changes.
