Cookie policy

Effective date: 26 October 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used by OneWa. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use the data involved.

1. What these technologies are

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Local storage is a similar space for small pieces of data kept in your browser. We use both.

2. What we use

  • Login session cookie (essential): keeps you signed in to the dashboard and protects forms against forged requests. It is removed when your session ends or you sign out.
  • Smart-link visitor cookie, onewa_link_visitor (analytics): a random identifier set when someone clicks a OneWa smart link. It lets the link owner distinguish unique from repeat clicks and helps us filter bots. It is HttpOnly and lasts up to one year.
  • Website tracking storage, onewa_vid, onewa_session_… and onewa_queue_… (analytics): set in local storage on a customer’s website when the customer installs our script. They hold a random visitor identifier, session details and a small queue of events waiting to be sent. They are used to measure visits and WhatsApp clicks for that customer.
  • Preferences, onewa-theme: remembers your light, dark or system theme.
  • Advertising (third party): on some public pages, such as the home page, About and policy pages, we may show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads. Ads are not shown inside the dashboard or on sign-in pages. You can manage ad personalisation in Google’s ad settings.

3. Customers’ own websites

When OneWa’s tracking script runs on a customer’s website, the customer is responsible for telling its visitors about it and obtaining any consent the law requires.

4. Your choices

You can delete cookies and site data, or block them, in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies you will not be able to sign in. Clearing local storage resets your visitor identifier and theme preference.

5. Changes

We may update this policy as our Service changes. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
